Hello

I need to have a connection from vCenter (v7.0) to the ESXi (v7.0b) ILO.

Servers are DL360G10.

The iLO discovery (association ILO <>ESX from vSphere does not work, and says AMS NOT INSTALLED.

Even though the component (amsdComponent_700.3.5.0-26) exists and is running on esxi host :

From the iLO / Subsystem and Devices, I have AMS=Not Available.

I have tried rebooting, ESXi, reseting ILO, nothing works.

Any idea ?

thanks

Hello dcmsofe,

Thank you sharing your concern.

Please find some steps you can try to fix this issue:

Please ensure ILO firmware version is on the latest version i.e. 2.31

Once confirmed, then try to remove the AMS Agent from the server and install the latest one

To remove the hp-ams package from an ESXi host:

Move the ESXi host in to maintenance mode.

Log in to the ESXi host as root.

Run this command to stop the HP Agentless Management Service: -

         # ./etc/init.d/amsd stop

Then uninstall AMD service from VMware ESXI 7.0 using following steps:-

esxcli software component remove -n {componentName}

# 7.0 AMS componentName is "amsdComponent".

      Reboot the server

Then install the AMS service using following link: -

      https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=MTX_e20c80766475417abf9e897c2f#tab-history

Then restart the host and check if you are still getting the issue

If yes, log a case with HPE with Latest AHS logs and vm-support logs
