Hi Communuty friends!

I have ran into an issue. the /var/log on one of our ESXi host is 100% full and as a result we are unable to perorm any vMotions. I tred to follow the steps in this blog post. To sum it up the posts recommends going to the /var/log directory and delete the hpHelper.log file. However, I do not see that log in /var/log. Is it possible that it was depreacated?

https://www.lightnetics.com/topic/13734/ram-disk-full-on-esxi-host

The server is a HP Proliant Gen 9

Hello vPhillyCheese,

Could you please check the vobd.log file to identify the file name and path that are occupying space on the ESXi host?

You can run the following command in the CLI:
Login to ESXi shell / SSH
less /var/log/vobd.log
Use w and d to scroll up and down to review the logs.

Thank you!
