How to disconnect/reconnect HPE Simplivity to VCenter ?

Hello,

since I've re-generated the VCenter V7 certificates (as they're all expired), when I laucnh the Simplivity Federation from VCenter GUI, I get some "400 error" or "HPE SimpliVity Plug-in cannot complete the task because it cannot contact the Virtual Controller.".

So, how could I disconnect/reconnect Simplivity (4.2.0.32) plugin to VCenter ?

Uninstall & then re-install the plug-in - My first option.

Here is a quick guide to follow:

SSH to the VCenter Appliance, login with root.
At the command prompt type "shell.set --enable True" and hit enter, to enable SCP file transfers (for vSphere 6.5 'shell')
Type "shell" and hit Enter. At the prompt enter "chsh -s /bin/bash root" and hit enter.
Change directory to "cd /opt/Hewlett\ Packard\ Enterprise/HPESimpliVityPluginForVSphereWebClient-15.8.0/"
Type "./uninstall" and press enter.
Confirm you wish to uninstall the Simplivity Plugin and press enter.
Hit Enter one more time to confirm action.
Change directory to the /bin folder
service-control --stop vsphere-client
service-control --stop vsphere-ui
rm -rf /etc/vmware/vsphere-*/vc-packages/vsphere-*-serenity/*simplivity*

##removes /etc/vmware/vsphere-client/vc-packages/vsphere-client-serenity/ and /etc/vmware/vsphere-ui/vc-packages/vsphere-client-serenity/

rm -rf /etc/vmware/vsphere-*/*/*simplivity*

##removes /etc/vmware/vsphere-ui/cmCatalog/com.vmware.cis.com.simplivity.web-client.zip

rm -rf com.simplivity.web-client-*/
service-control --start vsphere-ui
service-control --start vsphere-client
Transfer the new plugin bundle to the appliance.
Change to the directory where you uploaded the plugin bundle.
Set plugin bundle to be executable (example) "chmod +x HPE-SimpliVity-Plug-in-for-vSphere-Web-Client-linux-x64-16.58.0-psi17.run"
./HPE-SimpliVity-Plug-in-for-vSphere-Web-Client-linux-x64-16.58.0-psi17.run
Accept all defaults as you page through the prompts by hitting Enter (13 times!).
You will be prompted for VCenter administrator user name: administrator@vsphere.local and the appropriate password.
Enter the e-mail address for the person responsible for VCenter.
Respond Yes to install the plugin
Restart VMware "vsphere-ui" service (required to activate the Plug-in) respond Yes
Log out of the web client, and log back in.

You’ll need to reconnect SimpliVity to vCenter so it trusts the new certificates, update the vCenter details on the OVC and restart the plugin service. That should clear the 400 error.
