Is is possible to find out what model of array (6100, 8100 etc) you're connected too when using SSSU? I have the output from most of teh LS commands here and none of them seem to indicate this information.
Thanks

P.S. This thread has been moved from Disk Array to HP Storage System Scripting Utility (SSSU). -HP Forum Moderator

Hi,
Thanks, I have the output from 'LS SYSTEM FULL' in front of me and the only identifier I can see is 'HSV210' but this relates to the controller version.
What I'd like is the array model name (8000) but it doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere in my ouput.

I wondered whether the objectid may have some kind of identifier in it I could use to look up the array type.
Thanks again.

ls system full gives:

systemtype .................: HSV200

which can be an EVA4000/4100/6000/6100. I think one has to decode the controller serial numbers to find which exact model number (HSV-200, -200A or -200B) is used.

On current SSSU output I also see a 'switchtype' for 'ls controller full'.

Excellent, that's really helpful and I think I have it sussed with regards to the controller versions.

I have in my current files the following which looks like it is refferring to the 8000 series:
switchtype .......................: 8xx

Can I presume that the 6000 series will read:
switchtype .......................: 6xx

and any models lower down the product line won't have entries here because they aren't fitted with switches?

Thanks
I have recently installed a 6100, but it also shows:
switchtype ...........: 8xx

4100:
switchtype ...........: No switch

A 4100/6100 uses the HSV200 controller module
8100 = HSV210.
