We have a policy of implementing all new SQL applications on the newest release of SQL, so R2 (version 10.5) it is. Except to the HP support person assigned to out proof-of-concept. He treated PS like an end-of-life product and we could not get a commitment to their even supporting SQL2K8 SP2.
