      <description>sh patch_name will do.&lt;BR /&gt;After unsharing it will create 2 files patch_name and patch_name.text, .text file will contain the details about the patch.</description>

      <description>you would use the sh command&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For example:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#sh PHCO_24446&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You should notice two files now. &lt;BR /&gt;A .depot and .text file(I believe)</description>

      <description>Just to note, the patch and text descriptioni of the patch will be expanded into your current directory.  Make sure that you have the space for both.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also, you can expand into a different directory by moving your patch archive, and issuing a cd to a directory where you want the patches.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I.E.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;mv /PHCO_99999 /archive/PHCO_99999&lt;BR /&gt;cd /tmp&lt;BR /&gt;sh /archive/PHCO_99999&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Your /tmp/ directory will then have both patch and text file.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Shannon</description>

      <description>Also before you can install the depot you will need to do an swcopy and copy the software into a software depot.  Then you can install the software with swinstall.</description>

      <description>HP-UX 11.00&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;make sure you unset UNIX95 variable if you use this variable prior to running the sh command.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It has caused checksum errors depending on how well patched you are.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Steve</description>
