Hi,

The closest thing I could find was in patch PHKL_24064. It looks like the evp driver is an eventport driver. This patch updates several evp files. Maybe it will also provide the description for the driver in sam?

PHKL_24064:
( SR:8606195573 CR:JAGad64777 )
Enhancement: /dev/poll provides an interface to the
eventport driver allowing a user to synchronously monitor a
specific set of conditions associated with a registered set
of file descriptors.

JP
I noticed a loaded kernel driver called evp on a HP-UX 11.0 system. In SAM the description for this driver is "unknown". What is it?

That does indeed sound like the eventport driver. There are several patches that must be installed for it to be fully enabled. The set, from one point in time, is mentioned in the writeup:

"use_eventports.txt" which can be found under ftp://ftp.cup.hp.com/dist/networking/briefs/
