Hi,
I'm not really a server administrator so pls. bear with me if this sounds silly.

(I also can't the forum for tru64 but perhaps someone here knows the answer.)

Background (Tru64 Unix v5.1a):
Server has been assigned a hostname w/ no domain name. We changed the hostname and domainname but after a reboot, they keep going back to original values.

hostname (changed by changing /etc/hosts and admin did something in the GUI admin screen, I'm not sure)

domainname (changed using domainname command)

What am I doing wrong?

THANKS!

Bert
