PCs have always been clients for ftp since the days of Windows 95. Unfortunately, setting up incoming ftp on a PC is VERY different for each version of Windows so you'll need to look at a tech reference manual for your version. There are also a number of ftp server programs (free and priced) that can add this capability. Incoming ftp is a bit more complicated for multi-logon systems like WinNT/Win2000/WinXP since each user has their own customized directories and security would be a problem if you just allow C:\ to be visible to ftp.

But we are NOT able to FTP from
Unix to PC.

I hope we can achive this by doing some
setup. We have IP address for PC also.

Thanks
R. Ezhil
You should install IIS which will configure the ftp on the machine with a service.

Then you can ftp to the PC.

What O/S is on the PC?

What you need is some ftp server on the PC. There are numerous available, but the easiest is if the O/S is Win 2000, add IIS to the Windows setup and within IIS management activate the FTP server (set its properties).

Carlo

Hi!
There are many reasons of it and the main
is missing of ftp-server program on your PC.
this program may be application:ftp-server for Win'98; IIS for NT or embedded WWW(FTP)-service
for Win2K. You must configure and start this
service on your PC, then use FTP-client on
Unix-side to receive/transfer files.
Regards.
