Hello,

When i try to install the patch PHSS_24303 on a HP ux 11.00, I've got this log message:# swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true -s /var/tmp/PHSS_24303.depot

Hi Jerome,

check the depot file
#file PHSS_24303.depot
PHSS_24303.depot tar file
#tar tvf PHSS_24303.depot

If you can't list the files inside the tar file your depot is corrupt.

Check the download.

Make sure UNIX95 variable is not set when you shar the depot.

Correct command line is....

swinstall -x autoreboot=true -x patch_match_target=true -s /var/tmp/PHSS_24303.depot \*

Those last two characters make sure all the depot contents get installed.

Did you check the swagentd.log file? It might contain some more elucidating data.

This error normally comes, when you have a problem with the source depot file. Try downloading it again, if you are using a Windows system between transfer the file using "binary" format.
