topic Cannot spawn process in pseudo tty in Operating System - HP-UX

Further to my previous posting, "dtterm can't work anymore", I have discovered that when I attempt to spawn a shell environment from my another (motif) application running on the same machine, it complains that it 'cannot get a new pseudo tty', and subsequently 'cannot spawn process in pseudo tty'.

I have checked the sticky bit permissions for dtterm are correct, and dr_dt has reported no major complaints.

Would greatly appreciate any help rendered.

Thomas
maybe worth while increasing npty kernel parameter, if that fails to resolve =>

increase the NSTRPTY kernel parameter
regen new kernel
insf -D /dev/pts -e -s -n NUM
