    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Look at /var/adm/lp/*.log files. You should get information from there.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are using jetadmin, then you can run diagnostics from the jetadmin -&amp;gt; diagnostics menu.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Look at the permissions of &lt;BR /&gt;/etc/lp/interface/model.orig. It should be set to lp:bin with 755.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Sri&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <title>lpsched  not responding</title>

      <description>lpshut.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;start as lpsched -v&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check for log file.(/var/adm/lp/log)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also check if sched creates LOCK file in /var/spool/lp directory.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Post the results.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>If the problem keeps persisting you should probably look into the lastest patch for 'lp'&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_27132 for HPUX 11&lt;BR /&gt;PHCO_28259 for HPUX 11i</description>

      <description>First do a lpshut to stop the scheduler.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then do a ps -ef|grep lpsched&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Just check any other lpsched processes are running.&lt;BR /&gt;Do a kill -11 &lt;PID of="" lpsched=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;else do a&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;kill -9&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then rm the files FIFO,SCHEDLOCK from /var/spool/lp&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It is using too much CPU because of two copies are running(might be)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Restart lpsched.&lt;BR /&gt;Also check the latest patches for lp as suggested above&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;REvert&lt;/PID&gt;</description>
