Just a quickie, i ahve after much swearing got sendmail working and it is currently sending server check info to NT mail accounts.
the slight prob is that it has no subject is there an option that i can include to give a subject, i have reviewed the man page to no avail.
can some help.

there is no such thing a problem just a challenge.

Hi,

i don't know what kind of 'sending server check' you use.
if it's a script you can use
mailx -s 'subject' ....
to add subject to the email.

Hi Andy,

To get a subject with sendmail, send the following example:

echo 'Subject: hello\n\nthis is a message' | /usr/lib/sendmail address@yourcompany.com

in other words the 1st line contains the word "Subject:" followed by the subject, then a blank line, then the body of the message.

No, the points don't show. Sometimes people have to assign them a couple of times to get them to stick. The folks at HP are working on the problem.
