Thanks for the response, sorry I took so long to get back on this thing.
I tried to install the patch but could not because the thing would not match a product.
I looked in the patch text file and it replaces only one file which was not installed on my system. We have all the latest and greatest hardware patches etc installed.
Any other ideas?
Regards
Graham

Hi
This was the problem ( as discussed in the linked message) except I am running 11.11 .....

Sendmail is configured on HP-UX 10.20 server, and it send mail out just fine. However, when my outlook receives the email, I have the following message:
-------
This message uses a character set that is not supported by the Internet Service. To view the original message content, open the attached message. If the text doesn't display correctly, save the attachment to disk, and then open it using a viewer that can display the original character set.
--------
As the result, my message is actually in a text file attachment. I can open the attachment with notepad and read it.

Email daignostic command.

Run it, type a one line message, then a period and enter.

It will show you diagnostics, indicating if the problem is DNS or mail relay server.

If you can paste in an error message it would help. HP link is bad for some reason.

/usr/sbin/sendmail -v -d8.99 -d38.99 somebody@targetdoman.net

SEP
