      <description>try to first clean the drive, then use another tape.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also you could try and use another tape that was used previously and try to read it.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>I have already tried using one of our old tapes and I have cleaned the drive after every attempt at backing up the system. &lt;BR /&gt;Thank You!</description>

      <description>Other tests to try, have you tried to use tar to write to the tape? or dd?&lt;BR /&gt;if these also fail, then you have a definite hardware/media problem</description>

      <description>Hoi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have seen this more.&lt;BR /&gt;I try te make een backup by hand, en after words i read the tape back, ever seems to be OK. This is also a DDS streamer, when i see this more i replace the hardware.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Groetjes,&lt;BR /&gt;Jos.</description>

      <description>Hi Tommy,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It seems like the media or the Drive problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Have you tried with another new media.
