Where is sendmail package

Trying to locate the sendmail package for hpux-11.00. We had someone here hose up sendmail so I removed it now I am trying to re-add the software but cannot find it.

sendmail is part of the CORE-OS. It will be on the installation CD.

You could also try to load it from your patch bundle CD, but it may not work.

When I do an swinstall with the OS cd is does not show up as a package.. can i go deeper into the core.Os group and get it?

Find your Core OS. Mount the cd and do a swinstall. I think it's under the BaseOS so hilite and open that item and start looking. Once found, mark just the mail utilities and install them. I would then look for the latest sendmail/mail cumulative patches and apply them.

I did happen to find a download on software.hp.com with an 8.11.1 sendmail download but it doesn't create a etc/mail/sendmail.cf etc..

hi

go to
/usr/netconfig/etc/mail/cf/cf/

run
./gen_cf

pick your choice. And then will generate a sendmail.cf.gen

cp sendmail.cf.gen /etc/mail/sendmail.cf.gen

cp /etc/mail/sendmail.cf.gen /etc/mail/sendmail.cf

retart sendmail to stop it do

/sbin/init.d/sendmail stop
or
killsm

then start sendmail
/sbin/init.d/sendmail start

if you have errors post them.

Hi Jeremy,

In 11.0 the sendmail binaries & config files are part of the
InternetSrvcs.INETSVCS-RUN
fileset.
The mail agents sre part of the
MailUtilities.MAILERS
fileset
