If timeout issues are a problem alter the "telnet_timer:" in the pcf_xxxx file under /etc/ddfa to a larger number. I have mine set at 700.

Also, a common problem with serial printers is to be sure XON/XOFF handshaking is enabled on both the port and the printer.

I have a printer connected to a dtc16TN that is having a problem completing some print jobs. While the cause might be a bad wire in a cable, I would like to know if anyone could explain the syslog entries for the dtc port that the printer is connected to. The printer's OCD's PID is 5056.
Thanks in advance.
Heres the most recent syslog entry for the OCD:
Mar 12 11:13:09 fki ocd[5056]: (200) ERROR: Unable to obtain data from network:
system error 232: Connection reset by peer
Mar 12 11:13:09 fki ocd[5056]: (270) ERROR: System returned error 256 while disa
bling printer: system error 0
Mar 12 11:13:09 fki ocd[5056]: (299) ERROR: Closing connection due to error with
data path
Mar 12 11:13:09 fki ocd[5056]: (297) ERROR: Removing pseudonym /dev/telnet/d1703
and closing pty /dev/ptym/ptywe
Mar 12 11:13:09 fki ocd[5056]: (296) ERROR: Recreating pseudonym /dev/telnet/d17
03 with new pty
Mar 12 11:14:19 fki ocd[5056]: (200) ERROR: Unable to obtain data from network:
system error 232: Connection reset by peer
Mar 12 11:14:19 fki ocd[5056]: (270) ERROR: System returned error 256 while disa
bling printer: system error 0
Mar 12 11:14:19 fki ocd[5056]: (299) ERROR: Closing connection due to error with
data path
Mar 12 11:14:19 fki ocd[5056]: (297) ERROR: Removing pseudonym /dev/telnet/d1703
and closing pty /dev/ptym/ptyo2
Mar 12 11:14:19 fki ocd[5056]: (296) ERROR: Recreating pseudonym /dev/telnet/d17
03 with new pty
