      <description>an easy question:&lt;BR /&gt;i have C110 controller with hp-ux 10.20 operating system. i set date using "date" command, shutdown sytem and next day when i power up date is still same...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;is this normal?&lt;BR /&gt;thanks.</description>

      <description>I don't think it is normal.&lt;BR /&gt;However, you may try to set the dat using the following:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#set_parms date&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Do you still have the same problem!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks.</description>

      <description>By the way, I have one like yours C110 and I know it is not Y2K so the date will not be stable. But still it shouldn't be the same date.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Just a thought.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;use:&lt;BR /&gt;set_parms date &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;or alternatively SAM.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Shutdown the controller after the change and cold start it again to verify if it is OK.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;Yogeeraj&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;changing the date using 'date' command is temporory(untill reboot), for permanent you should use 'set_parms date' command which changes the /etc/profile where the time zone(TZ) will be defined</description>
