I keep an image, including patches of my ideal vg00 on an Ignite image server. I install the patch on one server, write a golden image and then distribute that image to many servers.

This strategy would work.

SEP

I have 14 HPUX 11i systems that all require a patch. I Is there a way to broadcast this patch to all the systems without have to install on each from the console?

-Scott

SD-UX has a built in network transport for this purpose. You are prompted for the type of depot during the swinstall gui from the client if you choose. Or its just something like this:

swinstall -s hostname:/sd_depot/depot_UX_SYSAD

You can even do this from the /cdrom.
