Trouble installing GlancePlus

I just migrated my test server from 10.20 to 11.0 doing a cold install and I am having problems installing Glance from the Application CD. I have attached the swagent log file with the portion related to this.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see anything related to glance in the log file.

Your swagent log doesn't go far enough for us to see where the Glance installation starts. Could you attach just part of it, editing it down to the appropriate section where the error is, please?

No Patrick, I thought I was wrong too, but I don't even see anything related to Glance at all in the installation, so it probably didn't install on the system, which would explain why it's not working

these were the errors I got during the analysis phase before the install.

any idea what causes these errors?

Ahhh....Much better. Now I see Glance errors.

First question -- You did get the key needed to access Glance on the CD, right?

Second question - You are installing from the 11.0 Applications CD?

If you have software support on this box and on Glance, you could try downloading the latest from the ITRC SUM (Software Update Manager) and see if that works any better.

It appears to me that when you are installing it is looking in /var/tmp for stuff when it should be looking on the CD.

Yes to both questions.

I went to SUM again but I can only order cd's from there.

Can't seem to download from it.

Heath,

Open the 12/2002 applications,
then look closely at the line with Glance on it. There's a column with "SW" in it. Click on the SW. That should get you the download.

There are a few products, perhaps Glance which HP won't hand out by donwload.

I'm assuming you've got valid codewords and you have entered them via swinstall

It looks liek you can't mount the cdrom with the cdcase option.
