      <description>Proprietary file system from Clearcase that is a modification of NFS.  Stands for Multi Version File System and stores the Clearcase View server.  Here are some 11.00 Patches:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;s700_800 11.00 POSIX AIO;getdirentries;MVFS;rcp;mmap/IDS;    PHKL_27813  &lt;BR /&gt;Notes:      PHKL_28202  &lt;BR /&gt; s700_800 11.00 ONC/NFS General Release/Performance Patch    PHNE_20627  &lt;BR /&gt;Notes:      PHNE_28102  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There are no 11.11 patches.</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Frederick gave you the info. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Clearcase is a version control software just like CVS, RCS etc.,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;MVFS is multi-version filesystem used by clearcase in conjunction with NFS to provide a view to the user containing hierarchi tree of different versions of the code. There are two components from my faded experience of clearcase administration.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;VOB servers: Versioned Object Bases where the actual files and their revisions reside. In your case 'ncbhpux' is a vob server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;VIEW server: Containing "views" for the developers. Your developers can customize their "views" by setting up 'config spc' files.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Mostly SAs do clearcase administration. If you are about to assume that responsibility, here is a white paper from HP on tuning clearcase.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://h21007.www2.hp.com/dspp/tech/tech_TechDocumentDetailPage_IDX/1,1701,938,00.html" target="_blank"&gt;http://h21007.www2.hp.com/dspp/tech/tech_TechDocumentDetailPage_IDX/1,1701,938,00.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It may get you confused initially but once you got the concepts, it is fun to administer clearcase.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Sri</description>
