Brian,

there were issues with the SD-UX subsystem a while ago that could cause swlist to 'hang'. As for why you suddenly have all these processes all of a sudden, I would expect its probably from some script which gathers information on your server (such as sysinfo or BCS_config). Check your cron table entries for something that might gather this info.

It's probably safe to terminate all the swlists anyway. Check your current patch levels and ensure you have a recent SD patch - the latest I could find for 10.20 (I'm assuming your on 10.20 as the patch you mentioned abover is a 10.20 patch) is PHCO_20209.

HTH

Duncan

Good Morning.
I have a strange occurence which I have not seen in the past. When I do a ps -ef I have multible instances of swlist running. Like this.

sh -c /usr/sbin/swlist PHSS_21076

/usr/sbin/swlist PHSS_21076

There seems to be one for every patch I have on the system. Please help.

You might want to kill and restart the swagentd daemon

/sbin/init.d/swagentd stop
/sbin/init.d/swagentd start

I think it might take a -r and just restart.

SEP
