Hi Peter,

HWE1100 B.11.00.0203.5 Hardware Enablement Patches for HP-UX 11.00, March 2002

and

QPK1100 B.11.00.56.5 Quality Pack for HP-UX 11.00, March 2002

are the normal patch bundles on the support plus CD. But what is the Extension Patch Bundle 9808 (maybe patch bundles had different names some years ago 9808 = August 1998 ?)?

Do you have any idea ?

Thanks

Uli

I believe that refers to the revision which had a naming convention of YYMM.

You are correct the name did change with the patch releases.

The old naming for General Release Patches are:
XSWGR1100

The old naming for the Hardware enablement is:
XSWHWCR1100

I agree with the above post that loading the latest patch bundle would be a better option. A customized Patch Analysis would be the best option.

Uli,

I would investigate 9808 from sybase's website. I think that is a sybase patch and that you should be fine with any nearly current patch bundle upgraded to match your current config.

Access to Old Support Bundles:
Due to overwhelming request, we got the patch team to add access to old support bundles. You can ftp them from
ftp://us-ffs.external.hp.com/patch_bundles/hp-ux/

From this url, the bundles we added are under the new directories:
GOLD - 11.11 Quality Pack
HWE - 11.11 and 11.00 Hardware Enablement bundles
QPK - 11.00 Quality Pack bundles

There are currently no 10.20 bundles and no plans to add those.

Each bundle is identified by its revision and bundle name. The QPK1100 bundle still uses the old dart number in the revision and not the date code(e.g. B.11.00.58.5). For reference, here is the mapping, which will continue in the same pattern:
Dart - Release date
59 - December 2002
58 - September 2002
57 - June 2002
56 - March 2002
55 - Dec 2001
