      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;Some softwares can tell version by -V or -v options the best is to go through their man pages and other way is to run a command say for sendmail version&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;what $(which sendmail)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;that will give you the sendmail version.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers&lt;BR /&gt;Rajeev</description>

      <description>Hi Juno,&lt;BR /&gt;    If you run glance,the software version are on top of the display.Here are the example from my glance:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;B3692A GlancePlus C.02.40.00    18:17:59 server01 9000/859&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is display on the top of glance output.so the software version are 2.40 and my server name are server01.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hope this help.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards&lt;BR /&gt;mB&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>On your 10.20 system:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$ whereis what (you should get)&lt;BR /&gt;what: /usr/bin/what /usr/share/man/man1.Z/what.1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;$ /usr/bin/what /opt/perf/bin/glance&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;By default the 'what' command is part of the Core OS.</description>

      <description>Rajeev gave a very good command to find out utility version already:&lt;BR /&gt;#what $(which glance)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;or you may use swlist to find out version of  installed software too:&lt;BR /&gt;#swlist -l product |grep -i glance&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
