    <description>Have you been moving the card around between slots?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Where is your inbuilt lans also?&lt;BR /&gt;post the full:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ioscan -fnkC lan&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I would suggest removing the driver and reinstalling it again..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Later,&lt;BR /&gt;Bill</description>

      <description>Today is a Bad day....&lt;BR /&gt;I have a lancard with 4 port...&lt;BR /&gt;I execute ioscan -fnClan an I see:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lan       4  12/0/3/0/0/7/0  btlan    CLAIMED     INTERFACE    HP A5506B PCI 10/100Base-TX 4 Port&lt;BR /&gt;                            /dev/diag/lan4  /dev/ether4     /dev/lan4     &lt;BR /&gt;lan       5  12/0/9/0/0/4/0           UNCLAIMED   UNKNOWN      PCI Ethernet (10110019)&lt;BR /&gt;lan       6  12/0/9/0/0/5/0  btlan    CLAIMED     INTERFACE    HP A5506B PCI 10/100Base-TX 4 Port&lt;BR /&gt;                            /dev/diag/lan6  /dev/ether6     /dev/lan6     &lt;BR /&gt;lan       7  12/0/9/0/0/6/0  btlan    CLAIMED     INTERFACE    HP A5506B PCI 10/100Base-TX 4 Port&lt;BR /&gt;                            /dev/diag/lan7  /dev/ether7     /dev/lan7     &lt;BR /&gt;lan       8  12/0/9/0/0/7/0  btlan    CLAIMED     INTERFACE    HP A5506B PCI 10/100Base-TX 4 Port&lt;BR /&gt;                            /dev/diag/lan8  /dev/ether8     /dev/lan8     &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In the syslog.log File I have this error message:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vmunix: btlan: SROM read error. btlan_init() failed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have install 11i HPUX OS-MC enviroment.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I hope that you can help me&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Filo</description>

      <description>hi&lt;BR /&gt;i dont think you have the drivers for this card installed. am not sure of the driver but see the CD contents and find out the product for the PCI LAN card driver and install it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hth&lt;BR /&gt;-balaji</description>

      <description>I'm confused because "UNCLAIMED" refers to one port of a 4-port card meanwhile the other ports of that same card are CLAIMED.</description>

      <description>I execute ll /dev/lan* and I not see the special files for the lan....I see:&lt;BR /&gt;crw-rw-rw-   1 bin        bin         14 0x060000 Apr  7 16:36 /dev/lan6&lt;BR /&gt;crw-rw-rw-   1 bin        bin         14 0x070000 Apr  7 16:36 /dev/lan7&lt;BR /&gt;crw-rw-rw-   1 bin        bin         14 0x080000 Apr  7 16:36 /dev/lan8&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I try to do insf -H 12/0/9/0/0/4/0 and in the syslog I view this message:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vmunix: wsio_claim init failed isc=0x4e240800 name=btlan&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for all your help...I don't think that is driver probelm because the other ports function corectly.</description>

      <description>I suspect you may have a fault on htis card, in particular the circuitry for that port.&lt;BR /&gt;Get the card changed and see if it is fixed.</description>
