    <description>&lt;BR /&gt;at first time set max_pct as 10 ( 1GB/10= 100Mb of cache). &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you are using hfs file systems you must increase ninode for example to 40000.   A low value for this parameter is cause of poor performance.</description>

      <description>Hi.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have some D370/600BM-1GM memory, running with 10.20 and Ingres. &lt;BR /&gt;How I must tune the Kernel-Paramerers for the best result?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please let me know what can i do.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks  Peter&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

A trial version is available for free for 30-days on the Application CDs if you haven't licensed it [I absolutely would!].  Glance has built-in help.  You can read about the metrics you are viewing as you view them.  Start at the top, looking at CPU, memory and swap usage.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Performance and tuning is both science and art.
