topic rpc.statd in Operating System - HP-UX

Hello ,
something is causing rpc.statd to fail in my hp server and i'm restarting it again and again.pls help to find out the cause.

See if there are any related messages in '/var/adm/syslog/syslog.log'.

This could be patch related too .. for example on 11.0 patch PHNE_28567 (ONC/NFS General Release/Performance Patch) addressed some rpc.statd related issues. Among others ..
- hung problem
- core dumps
- memory leaks.
Depending on what version of OS you got, you may want to make sure you got the latest NFS patches.
