hi,

i have a problem on a c240+ with hpux 11.0 . I get the following entries in the syslog-file:

Jun 3 15:03:36 XXXXX DTSESSION: pamauthenticate status=9
Jun 3 15:03:36 XXXXX DTSESSION: The auth error message is Authentication failed
Jun 3 15:03:36 XXXXX DTSESSION: pamauthenticate status=9

After this entries the CDE start to flicker.

How can i solve this problem? And what is a "pamauthenticate status"?

someone mistyped/failed his password

pamauthenticate status=9

#define PAM_AUTH_ERR 9 /* Authentication failure */

To add to the previous response, I think this is most likely seen when the screen lock password is mistyped.
