topic DCE default in Operating System - HP-UX

Hi folks,

another somewhat pedantic question: I am used that on our HP-UX 10.20 system the dce screen is recoverd for each user as one leaved it when loggin out or doing a shutdown. On our new HP-UX 11.i TCOE system this is unfortunately not the case. If I only logout the screen is recoverd but if I do a shutdown on the next login all dec environments are set to default again. We installed the support plus patches from march 2003 and as you perhaps saw some more patches to fix some bugs from the previous ones. During this patching procedure the behaviour described above changed. After patching with the GOLDQPCK11i and the OnlineDiagnostic patch from the support plus it worked fine but after running the patches PHCO_27374 and PHCO_28317 (to repair the buggs of the one before) this strange dce behaviour appears again.

Do anybody have any hints? Maybe this is a misconfiguration on our side.

Thank you all in advance.

DCE ... Mmmm sounds more like CDE ? I know both ;-) so along as we're not talking about intergrated dce/cde logins we should be OK .

Go to CDE style manager : located on CDE front panel ->
Startup : At login -> Resume current session.
Hi Alex,

yes there were some confusing misspellings in my mail. Sorry for that. But indeed you helped concerning the right matter. I did what you said but unfortunately this worked not but if I set the current session as default it worked good enough for us. You brought me to the right way... Thank you, Oliver
