    <description>As I said before, I would do a search on ITRC for OnlineJFS patches. Apply that and it's dependencies. But if you are going to install PHKL_18543, create recovery tapes before that. Since this patch is one of the very critical and base patch, you need to be very careful with your selections. If you are going to install PHKL_18543, make sure you don't select "reinstall=true" option.</description>

      <description>I installed B3929BA - HP OnlineJFS (Advanced VxFS). &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;However, vxad does not show up in the list of installed device drivers, through SAM -&amp;gt; Kernel Parameters-&amp;gt;Devce drivers!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;any ideas, what could be wrong, or how to fix this?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Yes I did enter the codeword of the cd.</description>

      <description>Sometimes this happens due to some Kernel patches installation. I would suggest you to check and install all latest OnlineJFS patches to the system. That will solve the problem.</description>

      <description>When I had the same problem on HP-UX 11.00 a couple of years ago, I reapplied PHKL_18543 patch, installed PHKL_20410, added the driver to the Kernel and reboot the server.</description>

      <description>Hello!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check if you can find the libvxfs_adv.a on the&lt;BR /&gt;disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also try to boot with the vmunix.prev and&lt;BR /&gt;install again the OnlineJFS and see that it's&lt;BR /&gt;finish the install ok, and made a reboot in the&lt;BR /&gt;end.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Caesar</description>

      <description>Hi Donny,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Your /usr/conf/master.d/vxfs file does not seem to be looking right.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Try this also because the kernel filesets do not have the string "jfs".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# swlist -a state -l fileset |grep -i fs\.vxfs &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You should get something like this&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  AdvJournalFS.VXFS-ADV-KRN             configured&lt;BR /&gt;  AdvJournalFS.VXFS-ADV-RUN             configured&lt;BR /&gt;  JournalFS.VXFS-BASE-KRN               configured&lt;BR /&gt;  JournalFS.VXFS-BASE-RUN               configured&lt;BR /&gt;  JournalFS.VXFS-PRG                    configured&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If they look ok, then do ll /usr/conf/lib/libvxfs_adv.a&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You should have that file. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Did you have any warninigs while installing it?. Look at your swagent.log for more details.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Sri&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;PS: Your point assignment implies that your problem is solved. Do not assign points until your issue is resolved.</description>

      <description>Hi Donny,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Make sure you take a make_tape_recovery tape before you do anything with the patches.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Do not apply the patch PHKL_18543 alone. There are dependencies on this patch and it will put the other patches in corrupted state.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It is better to apply the entire patch bundle. Like QPK and HWE of March 2003.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Sri</description>

      <description>I had the same problem quite some time ago. If PHKL_18543 (this is part of General Release patch bundle) is installed before OnlineJFS does then it'll disable the vxadv driver. All you need to do to get around this is reinstall that patch again and it should fix the problem.</description>
