    <description>Can you please supplu us with more information. ie&lt;BR /&gt;do you login from the console or telnet sesssion?&lt;BR /&gt;what do you use to log in?&lt;BR /&gt;I suspect something in you user profiles.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>I'm assumming you login via CDE or some other Xwindows enviroment.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It sounds as if permissions might be to blame ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'd try the following : In the case of CDE :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;check /var/dt/Xerrors &amp;amp; $HOME/.dt/startlogs and syslog.log for clues.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Run dr_dt and check for warnings &amp;amp; errors.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Do the users have a customised setup wrt CDE or .profile / startup script / .kshrc or similar ? If so move them out of the way.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Are the users home directories NFS mounted ?</description>

      <description>If you are using VUE, the problem may be caused by errors in files in the .vue directory.  I recommend you try booting in either "Fail-save Session" or "No Windows".  Try using dr-vue and look at the tips given by Alex Glennie.  Good Luck.</description>
