    <description>To make sure that you have the latest Spaceball software, and that&lt;BR /&gt;you have installed everything correctly, review these steps:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1) Download the Spaceware software from the following web site:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;        &lt;A href="http://www.spacetec.com/" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.spacetec.com/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   Then click on the Spaceball 2003 or 3003 icons; select FTP Site,&lt;BR /&gt;   and then select drivers, unix, and the correct spaceware.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   Download the app.hpux.verion.tar into your /tmp directory.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2) Got to the /tmp directory and do a:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;        tar xvf app.hpux.version.tar&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   This should return something similar to the following:&lt;BR /&gt;      x install/sbinstall, 42576 bytes, 84 tape blocks&lt;BR /&gt;      x install/sbtest, 73728 bytes, 144 tape blocks&lt;BR /&gt;      x id, 110 bytes, 1 tape blocks&lt;BR /&gt;      x SpaceWare.tar.Z, 359553 bytes, 703 tape blocks&lt;BR /&gt;      x app_demos.tar.Z, 828136 bytes, 1618 tape blocks&lt;BR /&gt;      x install/disk_req, 97 bytes, 1 tape blocks&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   Do a cd to /tmp/install and do a:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;        ./sbinstall&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;3) Answer all Install questions:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   Are you installing SpaceWare on this machine (y/n/q) [y] ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;        y&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   Please enter the name of the tape drive or the file from&lt;BR /&gt;   which Spaceware will be loaded [/dev/update.src]&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;        :/tmp/app.hpux.7_3.tar&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   Select a serial port for Spaceball use:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;        1. /dev/tty0p0&lt;BR /&gt;        2. /dev/tty1p0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   Enter the number of the serial port the Spaceball is connected to [1]:&lt;BR /&gt;      Note: The Basic installation is required.  The Spaceball&lt;BR /&gt;      will NOT function without this.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   Select installation Options (y/n)&lt;BR /&gt;   Basic installation (minimum 1081 kbytes required) [y] ?&lt;BR /&gt;   Additional demos (minimum 2498 kbytes required) [y] ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   Please specify directory for installation of SpaceWare [/usr]:&lt;BR /&gt;      Verifying disk space in /usr...ok.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;      Installing files...ok.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   Choose application specific configuration:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;         1.       <title>Spaceball with UG 15.03</title>

      <description>Hi.. I'm having some problems with spaceballs using UG 15.03 (I found something for UG 16.0 thanks Shannon in Nov 26 we'll UPG to UG 16.0) I installed Spaceware for Unix 9.2 in a c-3000. But I don't know why the owner of the spaceballd is the user and sometimes is root and when this happen obviously any user can use the spaceball.. until now the only solution that I found was reboot.. but it doesn't work anymore .. can anybody help me..? TIA</description>

      <description>Hi Alex.. well the main problem is this:&lt;BR /&gt;When I typed a ps -edaf this is what appears:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ps -edaf|grep spa&lt;BR /&gt;  root  1256     1  0 19:03:57 ?         0:00 /etc/SpaceWare/spaceballd -d /dev/tty0p0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;And this is my main problem because as root any user can use the Spaceball and when this is working OK.. the owner of the process is the userid of my people..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This can be solved with what you sent me..?? because I follow your steps and root came up again as the owner..</description>
