installing ignite ux

I have the xxxxx.depot file downloaded from hp, put it in /var/spool/sw, run swinstall, but it says nobody home. What have I left out please? do I have to rename the file, untar it, unzip it, what? what should the file look like, and do I have it in the right place?

Hi,

swcopy -s /var/spool/sw/xxxx.depot @ /var/spool/sw
then swinstall xxxx
or

swinstall -s /var/spool/sw/xxxx.depot \*

or

swreg -l depot /var/spool/sw/xxxx.depot
then
swinstall -s /var/spool/sw/xxxx.depot

Did you try
swinstall -s /absolute_path/to/xxxxx.depot ??

Try
swlist -s /absolute_path/to/xxxxxx.depot

what exactly does it say?

installation tips from http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/download.html#inst

You can install Ignite-UX from a depot file with the swinstall command.

For example, to install the Ignite-UX-11-00_B.4.1.61_HP-UX_B.11.22_IA+PA.depot depot file from the /var/tmp/ directory, you would use this command string:

swinstall -s /var/tmp/Ignite-UX-11-00_B.4.1.61_HP-UX_B.11.22_IA+PA.depot \*

Small tip.

It is often a good idea to remove previous versions of Ignite prior to installing the new version.

Making progress, thanks everybody! I have tried a 25mb file, and a 53mb file, that I downloaded from the supplied links to hp. Both give me something along the lines of 'no products found compatible with the installation, none displayed', and thats all swinstall tells me.
uname -a gives me 10.20, the 53mb file was chosen as being for 10.20....? link was
