      <description>rpcd is the Remote Proceedure Caller Daemon, but I do not know of rscd.  rpc is vital to alot of different programs.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If it really is rscd then.. wibble wibble wibble penguin splat&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Tim&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Tim</description>

      <description>Thanks.  After looking closer at the entry in inetd.conf, I found the rscd daemon was running out of /usr/src.  It looks like a product by CA called the BrightStor SRM Agent has been installed and replaced the native rscd.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks again,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;--Mike</description>
