      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Not that I'm aware of.  &lt;BR /&gt;It is a cyclic buffer stored in memory of a fixed size and is cleared at system boot.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Often a good idea to write contents of dmesg to a log file on a regular basis through cron.&lt;BR /&gt;eg /usr/sbin/dmesg - &amp;gt;&amp;gt; /var/adm/messages&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers&lt;BR /&gt;Con</description>

      <description>Yes,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Reboot your system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;shutdown -ry now&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;as an user authorized for that.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Clearing this buffer is not a critical thing. I would not boot the system merely because of the text you see.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
