I was wondering if anyone out there has accomplished the following task. So far I am only partly successful.<BR /><BR />I want to run Samba on an HP-UX or Linux system, and control the file share permissions through Server Manager on the NT side. So far, I can log into Server Manager, connect to the Samba server, see the shares and change permissions. The problem is, they don't take effect. I give myself read only access through the NT server Manager. I map the drive, and I can create, delete etc. Has anyone been successful doing this???
