Processors info

Hello,
I want to know the speed of processors on SD/N4000. When I use the command "itick_per_tick" I get only one number. Dowes it mean the all of the processors are the same speed?
Is it possible to work with different speed processors on the same server?

Use the model command. The last few digits tell you the speed of the CPUs.

Eg:

model

9000/800/N4000-36

360Mhz

use stm/cstm/mstm.

with stm, you can have the drill down menu.

select each processor if you are in doubt and select info. You will have all information you need.

AFAIK is not a good practice to mix different CPU speed, nor i think it is supported.

/opt/ignite/bin/print_manifest

should give you the Processor Info

Hi,

Have a look at that on the SAM

you can find that on PA-RISC HP system of any version and system.

#sam -> performance monitor -> system property

There are some infomations of your system that cpu,memory,os and so on.

HI,

sam-->performance monitor-->system properties
will show no's of CPU and their speed.

HP doesn't recommend to use CPU's with different speed as it doesn't sysnchronize the I/O speed

Even though you have set up diffent Clock speed processors into your box, I am sure they will works and sets more lower speed.

It means, for example, let's assume that there are 2*870MHZ and 1*750MHZ mixed up on the box, then they works all 750MHZ clock speed( all the same), I think.

another way how to find it is go to

PDC > INformation -> PRocessor

It requires restart of course. :)

Hi Alex,

All processors per OS instance must not only be the same speed but the same type as well. On the cell based nparition-capable systems different cells may contain different processors as long as the cells are defined in different npars. All cpus within the cell must be identical.
