I have downloaded the lsof binaries for my HPUX 11.00 and HPUX 10.20 servers. I got two files: lsof-4.48-sd-10.20.depot(1).gz and lsof-4.48-sd-10.20.depot.gz

Which file should I unzip and install? Where should I copy the file before unzipping and installing? What is the preferred way to do the install?

Thanks,
JLS

They both appear to be lsof 4.48 for HPUX 10.20.

They should both gunzip and from there install into a depot (if you like) on a 10.20 system.

To make a choice, use the file without the (1) after it.

You should be able to get the 11 version as well. to install, (ignore the fact that it says gz - it is not)

cp lsof-4.48-sd-11.00.depot.gz /tmp/lsof-4.48-sd-11.00.depot
swinstall -s /tmp/lsof-4.48-sd-11.00.depot

follow the prompts...

Thanks for your replies.

BTW - the .gz DOES mean it is zipped. I had to unzip it before I could swinstall it.
