      <title>/etc/issue file</title>

      <description>I have seen that the /etc/issue file will show a message prior to login.  I have put this on a Solaris server and it works fine but it is not doing the same on an HP-UX server.  How is the file executed? I have created the file and put it in the /etc directory.  Does it need to be elsewhere for it to activate?  Thanks for your assistance.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Erik</description>

      <description>Do these changes to the /etc/inetd.conf file in order to display a message before telnet, rlogin, ftp: &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;telnet-stream tcp nowait root /usr/lbin/telnetd telnetd -b /etc/issue&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ftp-stream tcp nowait root /usr/lbin/ftpd ftpd -l -d /etc/issue&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;rlogin-stream  tcp nowait root /usr/lbin/rlogind rlogind -B /etc/issue&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Afterwards let the system read these changes with&lt;BR /&gt;inetd -c&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;federico&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
