Hi,In CDE some times file copying from folder to folder fails.Please suggest what could be the possible reasons for this.I appreciate your help.

Did apply all latest patches? That might be an issue. Also, it would be great if you can share the error message. Is it okay when you copy files from terminal sessions?

Yes,Okay when copying in terminal sessions.
It happens(copy fail in cde) some times only.There are no error messages.But no result.Some times works fine.

The reasons for failure are legion. Full filesystems, permissions, NFS down, automount map problems, CDE patches --- you simply have given us nothing to go on.

Firstly, if you get a failure under CDE can you then do exactly the same operation from the shell successfully?

You are right .I need to provide more info to go on.
Checked file permissions.Certanly not nfs ,because mounting home from netapp sucessfully,made sure existance of file,etc.
The only thing makes me to think is latest
patching.I will look into this first.
