Question about AFS

Hello!

We want to try this filesystem on out HPUX servers, we have 11.00 and 11.11, where can I find depot/binaries of AFS ( or OpenAFS) for our systems? On openafs.org I saw only for HPUX 11.22.

You can not use AFS on PA-RISC based HP-UX systems according to those documents.

You also might have problems using this filesystem with many applications. I'm pretty sure oracle doesn't support that FS on HP-UX.

HP has not ported that source code to depots.

Under "Supported System Types" in the "Version 3.6 Release Notes", there is the following: "hp_ux110 - Hewlett-Packard system with one or more processors running the 32-bit or 64-bit version of HP-UX 11.0". This certainly implies to me that it should work under 11.0 (i.e. non Itanium, sometimes known as PA-RISC, systems). By the same token, I can find no download for it. I would suggest asking OpenAFS about this incongruity. There doesn't seem to be any contact info other than the webmaster (webmaster@openafs.org), but you could probably start there and find the proper person to ask. It also may well be that you need to download the source and build your own.

What about compiling the sources under HPUX 11.11?
Anyone tried it yet?
