HPDPS corrupt/sam display problem

HPDPS became corrupt and would not start.
Found that /var/opt/pd/basicdsd.db was the
problem. Restore from backup fixed the
startup problem.
Now sam has a bus error when trying to access
HPDPS. See below. I have applied two patches
that relate to similar error messages without
success. Has anyone seen this problem and what
would cause HPDPS to become corrupt.

UNEXPECTED EXIT: process LANG=C LC_ALL=C /usr/sam/lbin/samx -C -p
14943 -s lps /usr/sam/lib//dps.ui exited with a non-zero exit status.

sh: 15715 Bus error

The fix was released in the SAM patch PHCO_27375 for 11.00 and also at 11.11. The current SAM patch for 11.11 is PHCO_28123.
