      <description>Update your /etc/inetd.conf file by removing '#'' (hash) in front of the telnetd line, also check if there is additional restriction in /var/adm/inetd.sec file. Denying telnet permissions to some ip addresses. Restart inetd daemon with inetd. -c, after the update.</description>

      <description>you can make sure the service is up and running properly by trying to telnet from the server console, to itself.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if that works, you can assume something external is stopping the PCs (firewall, DNS issues, etc etc)&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
