      <description>Is it possible use fbackup command to backup the data in the same tape from the 2 machine?&lt;BR /&gt;For ex:&lt;BR /&gt;host2: fbackup -i /tmp -f host1:/dev/rmt/0mn&lt;BR /&gt;host1: fbackup -i /tmp -f /dev/rmt/0mn&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have try this behavior, if seems tape would rewind even /dev/rmt/0mn</description>

      <description>Right - fbackup rewinds a tape before starting to write to it. Therefore you cannot have two backups on one tape.&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;uli</description>

      <description>Hi there,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;'fbackup' command is not design to append the files.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can use 'tar' command with 'r' option for append the files or 'dd' command.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please goto knowledge mine with docID : CJW9304231450 about 'Comparison of Backup Methods and their supported features' for your reference.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this information can help you.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;AW</description>
