Does anyone knows, why license type = DEMO?

Hello hero,

this is the default license shipped with HP-UX 11i.

I also wonder what will happen if you have this system running after "Demo End Date" (mine is early 2007 - I will let you know ;-)

Hi,
Dont worry if its the default bundled licence shipped with 11i and its a long time, by that time u'll have another OS replacing it or another upgrade path by HP

Rajeev,

back in 2001 I came to a site where there was grey box which I had never seen before standing in a corner and the fans seemed to run. When I hit the space bar I saw root was logged in. I could not help entering uname -a. It said HP-UX 8.0

(I did not dare to run y2koscheck ;-)

As long as "Key = Valid" Key is valid. you don't need to worry.

No need to worry. It is DEMO version HP provides bundled with OS as it will work till 2008. This is due to the agreement between HP and Veritas. Nothing to worry abt.

If this is a agreement between hp and veritas, I need to prove to my customer, any document describe this? Thanks. Or how do you all know this is a agreement?
