make_medialif: error

Here is what I did

/opt/ignite/bin/make_tape_recovery \
-x inc_entire=vg00 \
-x exclude=/tmp \
-a /dev/rmt/0mn

It begins to work, but at the end
make_medialif: error - /opt/ignite/data/REL_B.11.00/SYSCMDS does not exist, is not a regular file or is not readable
ERROR System Error, /opt/ignite/bin/make_medialif failed creating boot LIF file
ERROR: Failed to generate LIF on tape.

What is the problem?
Do I need a patch?
I have 10.20(B2000) and I have installed ignite version A for 10.20

I checked on my server and the directory name is different - instead of REL_B.11.00, it's Rel_B.11.00. You might try renaming the directory but I think the best thing to do would be to re-download and re-install the latest version. Use swremove first to get rid of the current version.

Hi,

Pete is right. I think I can remember a bug in a very old Ignite/UX release where filesets for 10.20 and 11.00 had been inversed. It had been corrected in a special CD distribution.

I can not find the version above, are you sure you have selected the version for 10.20 and for 10.01 version a,

That was the downloaded file, I have checked.
It is now installed.

Can you tel me from this file, what a version I have on this machine.
Shall I uninstall ignite and reinstall it for hpux 11
