    <description>Also fyi : when using the LOGON= option of the START command in an AUTOBOOT file,passwords are displayed to the console during the startup process.....&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The following is a list of the boot options:&lt;BR /&gt;    .&lt;BR /&gt;    .&lt;BR /&gt;  Last config group used by START: CONFIG&lt;BR /&gt;  Logon=AUTOSTRT/pass2.CONSOLE/pass1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  NORECOVERY                MULTIUSER&lt;BR /&gt;  MULTI-DISC                SYSSTART&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The workaround, of course, is to not put the logon into the autoboot&lt;BR /&gt;file, and force the operator to log on manually.</description>

      <description>Got a 700/96 console that is echo-ing the passwd. This includes the root account&lt;BR /&gt;Have gone into the term config and whatever I try doesn't work. Even tried power-cycle the console.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Look at the function keys on the console.  I suspect that there wil be an asterisk by MODIFY ALL.  Hit F2 to clear the setting, and your problem should go away.</description>
