    <description>this could well be a problem wrt device files :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;try this : run rmsf /dev/*crt*&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;run insf -evd framebuf &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;bring the system up to run-level 3 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;result ? is anything displayed on the local console now ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if not drop to run-level 2 and run /usr/bin/X11/X :0  (use &lt;CTRL&gt;&lt;SHIFT&gt;&lt;BREAK&gt; to kill .... do you see a grey mesh screen : if yes this is more likely to be a CDE rather than an Xserver, graphics card issue .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;other thoughts : check /var/dt/Xerrors , run dr_dt, run graphinfo .... what's is the new graphic card ?&lt;/BREAK&gt;&lt;/SHIFT&gt;&lt;/CTRL&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This is quite a little less information to give an answer, but i will try it:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Maybe the new card uses a new device file. You should run the 'graphinfo' or 'ioscan' command to find the devices file and modify the /etc/X11/X0devices file using this new device file.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-HeL</description>
