    <description>I'm not saying this animal exists, but I've never heard of it. I guess from my experience, tapes are kept/stored/moved by authorised persons. This can be done in locked bags/boxes etc from tape holding facilities/vaults.</description>

      <description>You could use GNU zip as this allows you to passwd protect the resultant file and if you re-direct it straight to the tape device, you'll have a password protected archive.&lt;BR /&gt; &lt;BR /&gt;I test it first though if I were you :)</description>
