Hi,
If i understand you correct. THe server is installed but keeps trying to boot form lan.
I think you need to adjust the boot path and the alternate path. You can do so in the config menu. You also need to set autoboot on.

Gideon

From the client you can do this:

Interupt at the 10 second prompt

boot lan.ip_address_of_server install

example

boot lan.192.168.0.4 install

This will give you the standard Ignite install configuration interface.

Do understand you must boot off the built in lan card, not any add in lan cards.

The transfer itself can be pushed through your fasted card.

SEP

Hi,

With sea ipl you get an overview of devices that are bootable. In your case probably the lan interface and an scsi disk. Random Access Media. It is followed by a hardware path.

To just boot af it you can issue a bo p<NUMBER of="" the="" disk="">

To adjust it permanently for autoboot:

http://docs.hp.com/cgi-bin/fsearch/framedisplay?top=/hpux/onlinedocs/B2355-90702/B2355-90702_top.html&con=/hpux/onlinedocs/B2355-90702/00/00/44-con.html&toc=/hpux/onlinedocs/B2355-90702/00/00/44-toc.html&searchterms=path%7cboot&queryid=20031222-140341

Gideon

</NUMBER>
